Thanks to Tony Firicano's game cam we have this sighting in Walden
The last you knew BLIMP had set a June 27 deadline to our vendor for the herbicide treatment. I heard from them today and gave them the go ahead to apply the herbicide on Wednesday June 29. It really is important to get this done before the really warm weather, the strong summer sunlight, and because of the boat traffic (props chopping milfoil) beginning on the 4th holiday weekend. We are treating 29 acres and will be working along the Walden shoreline towards Jennifer Lane, the Jennifer Lane shoreline and stump pond out from Jennifer Lane. Also being treated is the river. Water use restrictions are no swimming for 24 hours after the application. While this is general news for most of you the officers of Walden, Jennifer Lane, and those on both sides of the river PLEASE notify your membership about the treatment date and the restriction of no swimming until Friday morning, July 1.

The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services has prepared a presentation on Aquatic Plants in Balch Pond. It has information on both ative and exotic plants such as milfoil.
Greetings All –
Congratulations to the new officers in our associations. The BLIMP crew looks forward to working with you as our milfoil mitigation program works only when every association’s officers and members contribute to the effort. For new officers information BLIMP sends out a brief update each season in Seotember and a full annual report every March which summarizes the last season’s results and an outlook for the upcoming season.
BLIMP would like to acknowledge the donation of vibration dampers for the Dash Boat by Smith Mechanical. We are a volunteer organization and could not exist without the donation of the time, materials and funds needed to keep this activity going. A big thank you to all of our volunteers and donors
