DASH BOAT CAPTAIN
Responsible to drive the boat to and from the dive sites, responsible to initiate the power/suction systems, to keep the DASH boat in proximity to the hose diver, direct the actions of the crew as required. Ear protection recommended.
DASH BOAT KAYAKER
Ferry milfoil holding bags between the bag diver(s) and the DASH boat, pick up milfoil fragments and deliver to the DASH boat, act as a safety observer for the divers.
DASH BOAT CREW
Assist in anchoring the DASH boat, assist in releasing the suction hose and its storage after use, gather bags of milfoil from the kayakers, provide empty bags to kayakers for delivery to the diver(s). remove milfoil from the catch basket to onboard barrels, assist in the start-up operation of the suction system. Ear protection recommended.
PLANT LOCATOR & MARKER
Using one's own watercraft such as a canoe or Kayak survey the lake bottom and mark milfoil locations with supplied markers. Can also be done by snorkeling.
COURTESY BOAT INSPECTOR
At the marina inspect boats being launched and removed from the lake for milfoil fragments, bring your lawn chair, complete the Lakes Environmental inspections forms IAW their rules. On-site training provided.
Must be currently certified, dive with catch bag and hand pull milfoil from its roots, hand off bag to kayaker, receive a new one. Air will be supplied. Must supply your own dive gear.
